Consider signing up for a committee.  Committees enable groups of people to work together on one event or project during the school year. 

Helping Hands - Help with cutting out laminate, small projects for teachers. 

Treat Day - Three times in the year we pop popcorn for the students on report card day. Popping starts around 7am and are usually done by noon. Machines need to be cleaned afterwards.

Clinic Helper - The nurse needs help throughout the year with screenings, ice packs etc.

Holiday Party - This committee will help plan and coordinate the holiday party in December.

Memory Book - This committee will be responsible for taking pictures during various events and activities. 

Teacher Luncheons - We need a team of people to help setup the luncheons in the Teachers Lounge starting around 9:00 am.  Lunch needs to be ready to go by 10:30. During the luncheon, we need just a couple of people to periodically check in and see if anything needs refilling. After lunch is over (about 1:30) we need a team to clean up. Luncheon dates are 10/18, 1/17, 3/7 & 5/9.

Teacher Appreciation - This is May 6-10; this team will decide gifts to give teachers and staff each day and decorate the lounge with the theme decided on.

Months without a teacher luncheon, small gifts are given to the teachers/staff. Committee will plan and prepare gifts with cute sayings. 

Library - There are 3 areas the library needs help. Shelving books can happen at any time during the day. Book Fair happens twice a year and we need volunteers to run cash registers and help kids find books. Makerspace happens in the library every Monday.  Volunteers are appreciated to come in and help the students at stations.

Fall Fundraiser - If you have ideas for fundraisers and want to help plan the fall fundraiser, this is for you!

Key Communicator - Key Communicators is a parent group designed to nurture and continue direct contact with our community. The group helps both parents and the Klein ISD to meet the mutual goals of school improvement and increased communication. Each campus has two representatives who normally meet once a month at 1 p.m. in the Board Room at the Klein ISD central office to discuss issues of interest.  This person would ideally type up their notes and send it to the PTO Board & Principal.

Picture Day - Volunteers are needed to make sure classes arrive on time for pictures and help kids look their best.

Skating - 3rd - 5th grade students will have a 2 week skating time, usually in October.  Volunteers are needed to help students put on their skates and protective gear.

Special Events - Sometimes we have special events during the year such as Donuts with Dad.  We could use help in picking up donuts or coffee and getting them to the school prior to the event.  Date is to be determined.  There may be other events.

Special Projects - This will be a team that can help create decorations for Polar Express or other events the school puts on.  

Media - This person would help with PTO newsletters & website.  Coming to the PTO Board meetings would be helpful.
